About me and my website

Hi, my name is Darrin.

I'm a Kiwi who has been living in Europe recently. After overlanding through Asia in the late 90's, I arrived in the UK in classic style - penniless with a tatty pair of silk pants and two t-shirts to my name.

I'm on the road again after an extended stay in London and have set this website up to record some of my travel experiences and to help highlight what I consider to be injustices in places I travel through and the world in general (err, there's a fair amount of fun stuff too).

I hope to get involved with a few organistions during my journeys that are doing cool and interesting work in various parts of the world. I'd like to help raise awareness of the problems they are trying to overcome and the ways that you may be able to get involved.

Along with this, the website will be a good way of making myself keep a diary of my journey, with words, audio, images and video so it will be something to always keep from the journey. And as I've taken up making video documentaries of the places I travel through you will be able to come along for parts of the journey if you like.

I really hope you get some useful info or a few good laughs out of the site. Please feel free to contact me with any help, suggestions and requests. Abuse is also welcome. The site will develop over time and I hope you enjoy it...
