We explored up the gorge with the vague intention of doing a full loop along the piste that leads to the back of the Dades Gorge.

This is a fairly well touristed part of Morocco with hoards of other 4x4's doing these roads every year. There wasn't much in the way of tourist hassle other than the odd kid, perhaps because as a whole the area is quite properous by local standards?

Tip: It's was pretty cold even during the day, but with the sun shining it was fine. When the sun doesn't shine it was bitterly cold and I was inside my sleeping bag at night fully dressed with jersey and jeans. Be warned during the winter - your camping at the base of snow capped mounatins!
