Tiznet itself was an interesting enough place worth a stroll and a day or two. We headed off for the short journey out to the coast and then south towards Sidi Ifni.

In the small town of Mirlaft along the coast there is a an old French Fort on a hill high above the town.

It's well worth the short scramble or drive to have a look, with the added bonus of great views on a fine day.

There are quite a few old forts like this all over Morocco, usually marked with what is best described as a 'circle star' on my IGN map.

It's only a short hop down to Sidi Ifni from Tiznet, but we took our time exploring along the way and arrived at the nice campsite right on the beach in Sidi Ifni. Just a shame the beach is covered in raw sewage sometimes.
