Towards the middle it becomes quite sandy in places and you are at times a good 5 km's from the coast, separated by huge sand dunes.

The odd family of goat herders lives along here, so some extra loaves of bread would make a good present if you stop for tea.

The landy seemed to be plugging away ok and so it was an enjoyable drive.

We camped up on top of a large valley and the view for the sunset and sun rise was awesome In hindsight, it would be best to drive the piste from south to north to avoid the sun in your eyes during most of your driving.
