After finishing up in Marrakech the route south over the Tizi n Test pass and the High Atlas seemed to the most interesting way to get back to the desert.

So on a fairly cold and overcast day I headed up into the mountains. All of my guidebooks were full of gushing priase for how amazing the road and scenery was. It's certainly quite a nice drive but I felt the guidebooks went a bit over the top in their descriptions.

There are loads of villages along the route and one of my highlights was giving a friendly school teacher a lift for a few km's.

Towards the top the mountains had speckles of snow and a biting cold wind as you would expect.
