Overall this piste was one of my favourites in Morocco. The piste was easy to follow, the weather great and it gave me a real sense of being in Africa.

I camped in the middle of the piste for a couple of days, wandering around in the hills and watching bread being made in one of the village bakeries along the way.

It's fairly bumpy going in places over the rocky parts of the piste, but as you are mostly driving down a huge valley with mountains either side it's pleasent to bounce along slowly admiring the views.

Somewhere in the middle of the piste you pass through a village with a few km's of asphalt and a few friendly cafes, and from here you can easily duck down to the sealed main road if you like. Though following the route right through to El Mhamid is highly recommended.
