...the sun again

After running out of deisel with 10km to go to El Mhamid (2337km since I last filled up - now I know what range my 3 tanks offer me!) it was great that I had a full jerry can of deisel in the side lockers!

After a quick fill up in Foum Zguid the next small town I pushed on to Tata.

...tata

Tata was quickly to become one of my favourite places in Morcco. After ignoring the two idiotic carpet sellers who pester every tourist thats arrives with what was now skillful ease, I settled in for what turned out to be two week stay.

...more again

Tata is a fairly sleepy little oasis town, with everything coloured in pink and blue. The oasis is well worth exploring with it's endless palm trees and there is great walking in the surrounding hills.

...tata campsite

The campsite is the best one in Morocco that I stayed in. Well run, good hot shower, great position right in the centre of town and overlooking the river that cuts Tata in half.

Most of my nights were spent sitting in a cafe in the main square watching spanish football or 70's b-grade movies and drinking mint tea. During the day I often found an hour or two to pop into TataNet the local internet cafe where Youssef and Karim always offered a warm welcome.
