After quickly stocking up on supplies in Assa I headed west along a long piste that runs west towards Tan Tan, via Aouinet Torkoz and Msaid. This is the first piste on my "Morocco: The Desert Pistes" dvd/video.

It's 250km in theory, and mostly very rocky going. Slightly frustrating at times but the scenery is nice and I wasn't really in a hurry.

There are a few lake beds along the way which make a speedy change from bumping along on the rocks. There are cairns along large sections of the piste as well, so it's easy enough to follow.

Somewhere along the piste I meet this guy on his motor scooter which was broken down. I gave him a lend of some tools and he was soon on his way again. For 10km anyway, and then I helped him again. And a third time for luck.
