...land rover (santana) taxi

After deciding that his motor scooter was a bit shagged, we carefully lifted it onto my roof rack and plodded along the rest of the way to his house. Tea naturally followed.

...have to go around

After pressing on I crossed the Jebel Ouarkziz mountains and was hoping for a nice straight run into Msaid along a lake bed. This lake bed however was full of water, so it took a while to bump my way around the rocky edge which was quite tough going at times.

From Msaid the road has now been asphalt into Tan Tan, though one bridge has been washed out and luckily I paid attention to the kids that were waving frantically else I would have plunged off a small cliff into the riverbed. Normally they put rocks across the road to indicate a broken road!

(Note: I took 3 days covering this piste though you could do it in one long one if you wanted, but it's nice to camp etc.)

...oued draa

The second piste for the video is from Tan Tan to Fort Bou Jerif. There are plenty of gps way points available on the net for routes like this. Try this one for example.

Just north of Tan Tan you come off the asphalt and cross into the large, and hopefully dry, river bed of Oued Draa, past an old French fort and out towards the coast.

...not going anywhere

As you head north along the coast there are some old tanks left over from a conflict I was never able to quite pinpoint.
