Big Dave was a good mate during my student days that I'd lost contact with for a while. So an offer to pop up and share some of his domestic bliss was too good to refuse.

Having previously been a 'surfer dude' it was interesting to see how Big Dave had 'turned out'. Apart from an obsession with his lawn the answer is extremely well. He seemed really happy which was good to see.

His wife and family were also really nice and accepted the weirdo stray traveler in scruffy clothes with open arms.

With summer just around the corner Big Dave was keen to get the boat out for the first time...
